Pierce County judge, county board seats narrowed Tuesday

During Tuesday's primary election, area voters will reduce the number of candidates on the ballot for Pierce County judge and supervisor from District 8 of the Pierce County Board.
The three candidates seeking the six-year judge's term are Joe Boles, Bob Loberg and John O'Boyle. Boles is an attorney from River Falls, Loberg is an attorney from Ellsworth and O'Boyle is the Pierce County District Attorney, from River Falls.
Incumbent Judge Robert Wing has announced his retirement. Two of the three candidates interested in being Wing's successor will advance to the spring election on April 6.
The three candidates seeking the two-year District 8 county board supervisor's term are incumbent John Kucinski, Katie Pata and Thomas Sitz. District 8 includes Wards 1 and 2 of the Town of River Falls, and Ward 2 of the Town of Martell. Only people living in that district can vote for its supervisor.
Two of the three candidates interested in being the District 8 supervisor will advance to the spring election on April 6. All 17 seats on the county board will be up for election at that time, but no primary elections are needed due to the number of candidates on the ballots for the others.
