The Red Wing Public Library will again offer Story Times programs starting in January.
The Red Wing Public Library announces the Story Times programs will return in January. No registration is necessary. All programs are free and open to the public.
•Baby Story Time: A sharing of rhymes, lap jogs, songs, and books for infants from birth to 18 months and parents/caregivers. Older brothers and sisters are welcome. A board book will be given to any child turning one on his/her birthday month at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays.
•Toddler Tales: A sharing of songs, movement, and stories for children ages 18 months to 36 months and accompanying parents/caregivers. Brothers and sisters are welcome at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays.
•Preschool Story Hour: A sharing of books, fingergames, and music for children ages three to five at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays.
•Winter Saturday Story Times: This program will begin Jan. 16 and continue to meet at 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Saturday of the month through March in the library story well.
These story times are geared toward preschool age through first grade, but the entire family is welcome to attend. The first session will be “Exercise!” so show up in your sweats for books, rhymes, and songs to go along with your workout. Following on Feb. 6 will be “Bundle Up,” so just dress for the weather. Related books will be on display for checking out and a take-home craft will be available.
