MMA fights Friday at Treasure Island

A mixed martial arts cage-fighting event will be held at the Treasure Island Event Center at 7 p.m. Friday. There is a weigh-in party at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Parlay Lounge.
MMA and UFC veteran Joe Riggs will headline the event with a battle against Ray Steinbess (14-3).
The winner advances to Strikeforce on Showtime, which will take place in January 2010.
In the other marquee bout, Strikeforce veteran Kaitlin Young will take on Shana Olson, who is undefeated.
