Karen Lynn (Chambers) Fletcher, 53, of Blaine, Ky., passed away Friday, Nov. 13, at her home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1956, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of the late Pauline Hamilton. She was a homemaker, a United States Army veteran, and a member of the Christian Faith Outreach.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Fletcher of Blaine; two daughters, Kathryn (James Jr.) Staniford of Lexington, Ky., and Patricia Starr of Blaine; son, Robert (Erica) Fletcher of Ashland, Ky.; sister, Denise Szmiot of Red Wing; four brothers, Bruce Gill of South Dakota, Jerry Gill of Denver, Colo., Keven O'Brien Gill of Hastings, and Jonothon Gill of Arizona; and two grandchildren, Braelyn Rose Fletcher and Javien Cruze Staniford.
She was preceded in death by her mother; adoptive parents, Harry and Kathryn Nadine Chambers; sister, Tracey Gill; and a brother, Jeff Carpenter.
Funeral service was held 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Prairie Island Community Center. Services were also held in Kentucky. Burial was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clinton Boyd, Ryan Gill, Jeff Emerfoll, and Jeremy Garcia.
