Author, historian will speak at Women’s Network

Author and historian Bob Williams will be a guest speaker at Women’s Network at noon Nov. 11 at the St. James Hotel.

Williams, a former public relations director at the Old Log Theatre, will talk about his life over the past 70 years. He has written four historical novels and is well-known for walking tours at home and on Mackinac Island, Mich.

Williams will recall the popularity of the Excelsior Commons and Amusement Park and ballroom on Lake Minnetonka. True life stories are told in his book “The Depression Years,” which will be available for signing.
