River Valley Power & Sport recognized

River Valley Power & Sport was recently recognized at Yamaha Motor Corp. USA’s annual business meeting as the third largest sport boat dealer in North America. Yamaha and River Valley also achieved the No. 1 market Share in the largest family boat category 21-to 24-foot category.

In addition, River Valley received the White Diamond in customer satisfaction. This shows our customers are very happy with their boats and the service provided them, owner John Wooden noted.

The boat industry continues to suffer through its third double-digit decrease in sales; many boat manufactures and dealers are no longer in business.

“Yamaha and River Valley have positioned themselves to take advantage of this and have found a solid niche in a very competitive industry,” Wooden noted in a press release.

River Valley enjoys significant e-commerce, doing business not only in Red Wing and Rochester, but shipping units all over the world on a weekly basis, the company said. Territory includes all of Minnesota, Iowa, North and South Dakota, and Wisconsin west of Milwaukee.

River Valley Power is in its 15th year in business in Red Wing and ninth in Rochester. River Valley Lawnscape, its sister company, is entering its 20th year.
