Apropos Home, a new home furnishings store, recently opened at 311 Bush St., selling new and antique furnishings and furniture and some high-end consignment pieces.
Owner Cecily Disana, who opened the store in October, said she hopes people find decor they not only want but also can afford.
“Nice items don’t have to be expensive,” she said.
A Minnesota native, Disana spent most of her adult life on the West Coast. In 2002, Disana, her husband and children moved to Red Wing.
“It’s kind of fun to be back in the Midwest,” Disana said, adding she likes being part of the Red Wing community. That is one thing that encouraged her to open the store.
Another is a family history in interior design in Disana’s family, she said. Plus, opening the store allows her to do work that gives her a lot of kicks.
