Pierce County crash injures several

Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday at Highway 10 and County Road QQ in the Town of Oak Grove.

According to a press release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Joshua Hanestad, 17, Prescott entered the intersection and was struck by a Ford Expedition driven by Dennis D. Johnson, Forest Lake, Minn.

Hanestad, along with passengers Eric Glaser, 16, Kerary Spindler, 15, and Matthew Pechacek, 16, all of Prescott, were taken to either Regions Hospital or Hennepin County Medical Center in the Twin Cities by air ambulances.

The release stated that Glaser and Spindler are in critical condition.

Andris Kavis, 64, and Colleen Kavis, 63, of Forest Lake, who were passengers in the Johnson truck, were taken to River Falls Area Hospital.

The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, Prescott Police, Fire and EMS, Ellsworth Ambulance, River Falls Police and EMS.
