Pierce County authorities announced Monday that the remains of a man who went missing along the Mississippi River in March have been discovered.

The remains of Robert Blake More, 52, were found Sunday morning on an island south of Red Wing on the backwaters of the Mississippi River. The body was found about three quarters of a mile downstream from where More was believed to have fallen into the river.

Identification was found on More’s body. Dental records confirmed identification, authorities said. No foul play was suspected, officers said.

More was reported missing March 28 at Mr. Sippi’s Bar in Hager City, launching an extensive search in and around the river. Authorities said in Monday’s press release that is was determined More was on his houseboat – docked at Mr. Sippi’s – and went overboard.

Pierce County sheriff’s deputies were assisted by Goodhue County water patrol and the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
