Maeta Grace Johnson McLaughlin and Tyler Kevin Avery were married Aug. 1, 2009, at Windbeam Farm in Hager City. The Rev. Jack Nordgaard officiated.

She is the daughter of Randy McLaughlin and Susan Johnson of Red Wing. He is the son of Kevin and Diane Avery of Red Wing.

Maid of honor was Oma McLaughlin of Seattle, sister of bride. Bridesmaids were Jill Fagerlund of Eau Claire, Wis., and Elana Dahlberg of Minneapolis. Flower girl was Alexis Avery of Red Wing, niece of the groom.

Best man was Anthony Seyffer of River Falls, Wis. Groomsmen were Adam Avery of Eagan, Minn., brother of the groom; Andy Avery of Red Wing, brother of the groom; and Alex Boser of Mankato, Minn. Ringbearer was Luke Anderson of Minneapolis, cousin of the bride.

She graduated in 2005 from Red Wing High School, and plans to graduate in December with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Winona State University.

He graduated in 2005 from Red Wing High School and in 2007 from Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical with an associate’s degree in carpentry. He works at Welchwoods Custom Cabinetry in Welch.

They live in Red Wing.
