UPDATE: Shooting victim in good condition

A 21-year-old man who accidentally shot himself in the head early Sunday was listed in good condition Monday at a Twin Cities hospital.

A spokeswoman at Regions Hospital in St. Paul said the victim, Brian Tiffany, was listed in good condition after accidentally shooting himself in the head at his home near Elmwood, Wis.

Witnesses told Pierce County authorities Tiffany shot several rounds from a shotgun into the air before discharging the weapon and striking his head.

All witness accounts indicate the self-inflicted wound was accidental, according to a press release.

Pierce County Sheriff's deputies continue to investigate the incident, which was reported by Tiffany's roommate at 3:34 a.m.
