Teachers hired for SAGE compliance
In light of a state-imposed October deadline for the local schools to be in compliance, the board approved hires related to the Student Achievement Guarantee in Education (SAGE) program.
They are a full-time kindergarten teacher, a half-time first-grade teacher and two 47 percent second- grade teaching posts, all at Prairie View Elementary School.
In other news:
• Parents club members and personnel were acknowledged for participation in a window panel painting project at Hillcrest Elementary School. A summer work experience for disabled students through Workforce Resource was also recognized.
Personnel moves
Resignation: Jake Kusilek, high school tech education teacher.
New hire: Ryan Brill, high school tech education teacher.
