A. Corner of the Corner is one of a handful of events that Red Wing Downtown Main Street uses to advertise and promote downtown businesses.

Holiday Stroll, which is coming in November, is another. All funds raised help keep downtown vital and businesses thriving, members said.

Downtown Main Street is non-profit association of individuals, businesses, and community organizations interested in the promotions, preservation and development of the downtown district.

The organization formed in 1997.

Filled with historic buildings, downtown was vulnerable to deterioration and loss of structure and sites important to its character. The Red Wing Downtown Main Street council sought to serve as a catalyst for reinvestment in the downtown.
