Much has been made in the main stream media of South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint’s comment that a defeat of “Obamacare” in Congress could be Obama’s “Waterloo.”

To the Editor:

Much has been made in the main stream media of South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint’s comment that a defeat of “Obamacare” in Congress could be Obama’s “Waterloo.”

When the coalition of national European armies faced Emperor Napoleon of France at Waterloo, Belgium, in 1815, nothing less than the sovereignty of all European nations was at stake. For over 25 years, Napoleon had conquered much of Europe and was the most powerful dictator of his time.

Thank God for the Great Britain’s Duke of Wellington and his European allies who defeated this megalomaniac once and for all. Hear! Hear!

All Americans, who cherish their God given freedoms and liberties, should celebrate in the streets that the Messiah’s march to socialism may be halted. If the MSM had been reporting near Waterloo in 1815, they’d be cheering for the French emperor-dictator against the armies of Europe who eventually defeated their oppressor.

For the very first time since last November, we are heartened by the awakening of the American people who understand on a personal level what a national disaster Obamacare would be to our economy. Each one of us owes it to generations of Americans yet unborn to retake our rights to our lives, our liberties and the pursuit of our happiness.

The 2010 fight is on and we are all Wellingtons. In the words of Winston Churchill in the darkest hours of World War II, “never, never, never give up.” Unlike Emperor Napoleon, who actually had real life experiences, this Emperor Obama has no clothes.
