Authorities released more details on a multi-vehicle crash in Trenton Township that stopped traffic Thursday on both sides of the High Bridge.
Vehicles driven by Katie L. Smith, 20, Goodhue, and Joshua R. Smith, 29, Hager City, were northbound on Highway 63 waiting to turn onto 825th Street, according to Pierce County sheriff's deputies.
Authorities said a vehicle driven by Karyn Downs, 34, Bay City, rearended Joshua Smith's vehicle, spinning into an oncoming vehicle driven by Becca Young, 17, Beldenville.
Joshua Smith was taken to Fairview Red Wing Medical Center with undetermined injuries. A 4-year-old passenger in the Downs' vehicle, Kaitlyn Downs, was treated at the scene for a minor injury, authorities said.
Katie Smith and her passenger, 40-year-old Kristin Jo Freeman, 40, Red Wing, were taken to medical facilities by private vehicles where they were treated and released.
Young and her passenger, 19-year-old Bryce Christopherson, 19, Hager City, were also taken by vehicle to area medical facilities, authorities said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
