Kiwanis safety camp Dawnbreakers Kiwanis is sponsoring an Aug. 5 safety camp for children entering grades 4-6. The camp will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical. Fire safety, law enforcement, electrical safety, wheel safety, water safety, weather safety, personal safety, first aide and poison awareness will be taught. Cost is $15. All participants will receive a bike helmet and smoke alarm. Kickball league

Kickball league schedule for Wednesday: Roxx - bye. 6 p.m. — Drink Team with a Kickball Problem vs Stewies (AP 2): ADM Crushers vs HydraTight (AP1). 7 p.m. — Blizzards vs Marshall’s Truckers (AP 2); Ike’s vs Kick Ballers (AP 1). 8 p.m. — Holy Rollers vs Grass Kickers (AP2).
Football camp
Winger football camp with Matt Schultz and his staff will be July 27-30 at Red Wing High School football practice field. Students in grades 8-11 meet from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost for the high school camp is $70. Students in grades 2-7 meet from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Cost for the junior camp is $40.
Horse camp
Hay Creek Stables is offering a week of overnight horse camp for children ages 10 and older. Camp runs Monday-Friday and includes instruction on safe horse practices, horsemanship, horse etiquette, ground manners, Western and English riding lessons, rind skills and riding and halter. Meals and supervised bunkhouse are included. The last session begins Aug. 17. Cost is $525.
Line camp ride/
cowboy supper
Want to try something special this summer? How about a horseback ride through Hay Creek Valley and a cowboy supper? Sponsored by Hay Creek Stables, the rides are from 4 to 6 p.m., for ages 10 and older. Campfire songs of the Old West will follow. Dates are Aug. 15 and Sept 26. Cost is $55.
Colvill Aquatic Center
Colvill Aquatic Center is open daily through Aug. 16. Public swimming hours are noon to 7 p.m. Groups may reserve dates with Dave Borgen at (651) 385-4565. Pool closings will be available on the weather hotline, (651) 385-4569.
