Rash of thefts reported in Warsaw Township

Authorities believe the same suspects are behind a rash of thefts this week in Warsaw Township.

Several residents there reported items stolen July 14 from their garages or vehicles, sheriff's spokeswoman Kris Weiss said.

The suspects took some beer and pop from Nancy Deban's garage, she reported. Stereo equipment worth $1,250 was taken from vehicles in garages belonging to David Voracek.

Kevin Murphy reported a cell phone ($200) and car stereo ($165) stolen from his vehicle. Keith Peterson told deputies someone went thorough his garage and vehicles but that nothing was stolen.

Authorities are investigating, Weiss said.
