Hope & change is bait & switch

As an “Up North” Dr. Phil might say, “How’s that hope and change workin’ for ya?”

As an “Up North” Dr. Phil might say, “How’s that hope and change workin’ for ya?”

With each agonizing day, “hope and change” is feeling more like “bait and switch.”

Starting last fall, a craven Congress, enabled by a lame duck president, were bullied by Treasury Secretary Paulson to give this Wall Street carpetbagger a blank check to help expunge the banks’ toxic assets from their books. Before you say, “Where did my 401 K go?” the Statists were taking over the banks while swallowing up the largest insurer in the world.

All of this slight of hand was directed, launched and encouraged and by President Obama and his transition team.

The imposition of the Green Initiative CAFE standards and squandered loans to the auto manufacturers were Trojan horses to scoop up significant segments of the industry. Just wait until the Statists fix the health care and energy sectors.

All that “hope and change” has brought the American people trying to work in the private sector is unbearable unemployment and economic stagnation with hyper inflation and severe tax increases just over the horizon..

If crushing the modest retirement hopes of over 70 million baby-busted Americans and changing the most prosperous economy in world into a banana republic are “high crimes and misdemeanors,” this president needs to be held accountable before the people.

Let us never, never forget, the president and Congress are supposed to work for us.

If we can hang on long enough, we need to halt this disastrous course in 2010 in Congress and remove this spend thrift Obama from the White House in 2012.

Ask the next socialist who wants to do something for you, “Are we better off today than we were just 100 days ago?
