Anthony P. Freiheit, 19, of Prescott, passed away after a motorcycle accident Saturday. He was born Oct. 14, 1989, to Stacy Peterson in Owatonna, Minn. On Sept. 11, 2001, Anthony was adopted by Scott Freiheit. Anthony graduated from Prescott High School in 2008. He loved snowmobiling, cooking, and his motorcycle. He also enjoyed Xbox Live and Guitar Hero. He took a great deal of pride in his job at Renewal by Andersen and very much enjoyed his coworkers. Ultimately Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Anthony is survived by his parents, Scott and Stacy of Prescott; maternal grandma Lois Johnson (grandpa John Burfeind) of Wabasha; two aunts, Suzie Henry of Lake City, Carol Zempel of Prescott; maternal great-grandmother Thora Peterson of Wells, Minn.; and further survived by numerous extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandpa Harold (Pete) Peterson; aunt Sheila Beaulieu; grandma Edna Freiheit and uncle Terry Freiheit.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Joy Lutheran Church in Prescott with the Rev. Paul Martinson officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery with Sean Owens, Skyler Henry, Seth Henry, Nick Zempel, Zack Bock and Eric Frank serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Shawn Frandrup, Brandon Frandrup and Dan Kalstabakken. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and again one hour prior to the funeral service, all at church.
