Blanche will serve as guest chaplain
LAKE CITY — The Rev. Ilene Blanche of Rivers of Living Water Christian Center will serve as guest chaplain May 11 in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

LAKE CITY — The Rev. Ilene Blanche of Rivers of Living Water Christian Center will serve as guest chaplain May 11 in the Minnesota House of Representatives. This is Blanche’s third year as chaplain to the Capitol. It all started with a January 2007 invitation from former Rep. Steve Sviggum, who served as speaker of the House.
She has given the opening prayer in January 2007, and March 2008, in the House. She also gave the opening prayer last month in the Senate.
Blanche said she considers it a high honor being invited to pray face-to-face with the governing body for the State.
