Nuclear plant meeting Tuesday
The public can comment on the draft environmental impact statement for the Prairie Island nuclear plant during a meeting Tuesday at Red Wing Public Library.
The public can comment on the draft environmental impact statement for the Prairie Island nuclear plant during a meeting Tuesday at Red Wing Public Library.
The Office of Energy Security will hear public comment at 6 p.m. in the library’s Foot Room. Representatives from the OES and Xcel Energy will be available to answer questions about the permitting process and the proposed project.
The nuclear plant is seeking a new operating license and additional nuclear waste storage.
