Police still looking for suspect

A person eluded Red Wing police Friday and is still missing following a slow-speed pursuit.

The incident began at 10:48 p.m. when an officer tried to pull over a vehicle on Highway 61 near Johnson Avenue, according to authorities. The vehicle failed to stop and ran a red light at Tyler Road South and Highway 61.

A Minnesota state trooper took the lead, police said, and the vehicle turned into the Eagle Ridge Apartments complex parking lot. The suspect then fled on foot.

K-9 units were called in for the search but the suspect was not found. The vehicle was impounded and the investigation continues.
