Jazz concert scheduled Monday night

April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and Lake City students will celebrate with a gala on Monday.

The concert will feature the three Lincoln High School jazz ensembles as well as special guest Laura Caviani.Caviani is a jazz pianist and educator from Minneapolis. A fresh face and sound on the jazz scene, she recently released “Going There.” She will perform with the Lake City Senior Jazz and the Junior Jazz I. Earlier in the day she will work with jazz students. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. A reception will follow in the foyer. The concert is free. Sponsors are the Lake City Education Foundation and the Lake City Music Boosters.
