Local Red Cross reaches out to military families

There are several events this month and next month being provided by the Goodhue County Red Cross for local military families.

On April 18, the Red Cross will hold a Super Spring Saturday event from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Red Wing National Guard Armory and again from 1 to 3 p.m. May 9 in Zumbrota.

The events will include carnival games with prizes for all ages, refreshments and entertainment by Dee Dee the Balloon figurine Clown and face painting by Bozie the Clown.

Both events are for military families to come and socialize together while sharing in the fun events of the day.

A family need not have someone deployed to attend this event. As long as someone in the family is a military member the whole family can attend.

Everything will be free of charge for those presenting military identifications.

Registration is not required for attendance. Carnival game and refreshment tickets will be issued to each person attending the event as they register at the door.
