Betty Lou Ogle, 80, Lake City, died Sunday, Feb. 22, at her home.
Betty Lou Ogle, 80, Lake City, died Sunday, Feb. 22, at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Pepin, Wis., the daughter of Kenneth and Esther (Hubert) Sutherland. She attended schools in Lake City and Red Wing. She worked at Wieb's Restaurant as a waitress for a number of years. She married Donald Wiebusch and they later divorced. She worked at Super Valu as a front manager, at Munson Office Products and Sears in Red Wing. She married William Ogle on August 20, 1975, and they lived in Rochester, where she was the manager of several hotels. They moved to Lake City six years ago. She was a member of the VFW Post 8729 in Lake City. She enjoyed cross stitching, dancing, bowling and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, William of Lake City; three children, Ron (Amy) Wiebusch of Drummond, Wis., Jim Wiebusch of Shakopee and Sheri (John) Johannsen of Mankato; eight grandchildren, Jaime Waller, Nikki, Matt, Adam and Evan Wiebusch, Logan Kittelson and Ben and Andy Macgregor; two brothers, Richard (Trudy) Sutherland of Red Wing and Kenneth "Buzzy" (Anna Mae) Sutherland of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Blanche Berktold, and one brother, James Sutherland.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kristen Schlauderaff and Chaplain Dan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Burnside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and on Thursday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Hospice.
