‘Church basement ladies’

William Christopher, known for his portrayal of Father Mulcahy on televisions long-running series “M*A*S*H,” will appear as the pastor in “Church Basement Ladies” at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center.
The musical comedy, written by Jim Stowell and Jessica Zuehlke of Red Wing, will have a limited engagement Feb. 7-8. The show and its characters were inspired by the books of Janet Letnes Martin and Suzanne Nelson, including the best-selling “Growing Up Lutheran.”
Performances will be at 7:30 nightly, plus there will be 2 p.m. matinees Feb. 7 and 8. Tickets are $37 to $47. They are available at Burnsville City Hall, through Ticketmaster or by calling (800) 982-2787.
The production is part of the grand opening of the new Burnsville Performing Arts Center, located in the Heart of the City at 12600 Nicollet Ave. S. The center has two theaters.
