Wendy Jo Heath, 37, of Red Wing, died Friday, Jan. 23, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born June 10, 1971, in Red Wing to Gloria Thompson and James Duden. She graduated in 1990 from Ellsworth High School and attended the Hastings School of Beauty and became a licensed cosmetologist. She married Craig Heath on Aug. 27, 1994, at First United Methodist Church in Red Wing; they later divorced. Wendy worked at DBI from 1992-2000 and later worked as a beautician at Great Clips in Red Wing. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sewing, crafts, baking, and camping.

Survivors include two daughters, DesRae and Clara Heath, both at home; her fiancée, Ross Paulson of Red Wing; father, James Duden of Maiden Rock; mother, Gloria Thompson of Red Wing; three brothers, Jim Duden of Spring Valley, Wis., Ture (Lisa) Duden of Clear Lake, Wis., and Jeff Duden of Ellsworth; two nieces, Mariah and Zoey Duden; three nephews, Ashton and Loren Duden and Cody Topp; her paternal grandfather, Leslie Duden of Maiden Rock, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Clara Duden, and her maternal grandparents, Charlotte Burnett and PerTure Thompson.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Maiden Rock Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick, Leslie and Scott Hilleshiem and Brent, Alex and Ross Paulson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mariah, Ashton, Zoey, Loren, Jim, Jeff and Ture Duden and Cody Topp. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Mahn Family Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Trust Fund for DesRae and Clara Heath.
