Authorities have released the name of a Welch man killed last week in a two-vehicle crash in Hastings.
Gerald Hauwiller, 43, was killed when the vehicle he was riding in slid sideways into another vehicle on Highway 61, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Hauwiller was not wearing a seat belt, authorities said.
The crash happened at 8:35 p.m. Jan. 15. Road conditions were icy at the time, according to the State Patrol.
Two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash, Timothy Sherry, 45, and Allen Burr, 38, both of Hastings.
Authorities initially listed Hauwiller's residence as Welsh, Minn. They confirmed Wednesday he is from Welch.
