Michael Johnson, who was inducted this year into the Minnesota Rock and Country Hall of Fame, returns to Crossings at Carnegie for a concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13

Over his long career he’s performed with legends of the music world: Clint Black, Wynonna Judd, Alison Krauss, Judy Collins, Vince Gill, Roger Miller, Bill Monroe, Cheryl Wheeler, David Sanborn, Trisha Yearwood and Jennifer Warnes.

Johnson often performs alone, as he prefers the intimacy and spontaneity of a show that can change with the moment.

“Tell them I’m a showman,” he said. “I like to talk to people and I love to make them laugh. And, of course, I have to move them with the music. That’s the whole thing. Without that, there is no reason to be on stage.”

Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door. Call (507) 732-7616 or go to www.crossingsatcarnegie.com.
