Edna L. Ward, 95, of Cannon Falls and formerly of Belle Creek Township

Edna L. Ward, 95, of Cannon Falls and formerly of Belle Creek Township, died Saturday at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls. Born Feb. 7, 1913, in Belle Creek Township, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Haggstrom) Carlson, she attended country school through the 11th grade. She married Harold Ward on Dec. 31, 1941. They farmed in Belle Creek Township. He died May 14, 1994. She was a member of Spring Garden Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her sisters-in-law Gwen (Robert) Carlson-Olson and Lorraine Forsman; and other relatives including Marshall Carlson and Myra Beth Loven. She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Verna (Leonard) Anderson.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Spring Garden Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Spring Garden Lutheran Church or the Goodhue Humane Society. Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls, handled arrangements.
