Judicial review board looks at Blakely's conduct

The state Board on Judicial Standards on Monday began reviewing the conduct of First District Court Judge Timothy Blakely.

The review was brought about by a formal complaint that states Blakely, who serves in Goodhue and Dakota counties, funneled divorce mediations to his own lawyer in order to reduce his own divorce fees.

A fact-finding panel comprised of former judges is expected to make a recommendation to the board in the coming days.
