Though overall proficiency in math and reading did meet benchmarks toward federal No Child Left Behind status, many groups within the district did not.
Administrators will submit a plan to the state's education department detailing how they hope to upend failing marks. Those include:
• Aligning curriculum to state test criteria.
• Vertical K-12 alignment — streamlining curriculum steps among schools.
• Compiling assessment data from teachers and students.
• Continue developing intervention strategies.
Curriculum Director Kathy Radmer said other methods will likely come into play.
"It's a very fluid process," she said.
School Board member Tim Kelly recommended an additional teacher-evaluation program as an additional response.
