Mother, son injured on Highway 61
A Red Wing woman and her son were injured Sunday after her vehicle and a semitrailer collided on Highway 61 near Bench Street.

The Minnesota State Patrol said Sarah Scott, 51, was northbound at 6:45 p.m. and made a U-turn at the intersection. The collision occurred when she entered southbound traffic. Scott and her 12-year-old son — both of whom were seatbelted — sustained minor injuries, troopers reported.
The driver of the semi, Michael Ruud, 45, Cottage Grove, Minn., was not injured in the crash. He was also seatbelted.
