A Mazeppa man was severely injured Monday at a dangerous Goodhue County intersection where state-of-the-art safety equipment is scheduled to be tested.
Dale S. Schafer, 44, was airlifted from the scene at Highway 52 and County Road 9 in Leon Township, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
He was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester where he was listed in serious condition Monday evening, a hospital spokesman said.
