Letter: Here’s what Bush should do next

To the Editor:

I decided to get online to answer this week’s online question about what I think President Bush should do after his term of office is over. I went to the site (www. republican-eagle.com) and, lo and behold, the answer I had was not on there.

So I decided to write to the editor to give my opinion/answer. First I have to say those were pretty benign choices you gave and as I said before none would be what I would chose.

So here is what I think President Bush should do when he is (finally) out of office: He should be made to enlist in the Army and spend at least three one-year deployments to Iraq or Afghanistan. I think it only fitting. He started the Iraq war he should at least be an active participant now that his presidential duties will be over. In fact, he was so gung-ho about invading Iraq I never could understand why he didn’t send his own kids over to fight since he asked everyone elses’ kids to sacrifice.
