Letter: Join local Shuffle to fight cancer

To the Editor:

This past weekend our Mississippi Shuffle team, Dean’s Beans, bagged groceries at Econo Foods as a fundraiser.

During our three days, many customers shared their stories of loss and survival, reminding us of how many people’s lives have been affected by this terrible disease. We appreciate all the shoppers who supported us.

During these difficult economical times we cannot forget the fight for a cancer cure. The Mississippi Shuffle gives us a chance to support many walkers. Every dollar helps fight the cancer battle.

We invite you to join Dean’s Beans and all the other teams Aug. 8 at Bay Point Park as we walk for a cure.
