Just one fee among those charged students for a variety of activities will be increased in the coming year, following Ellsworth School Board action Monday.

Supt. Barry Cain said band instrument repair costs have gone up, so the rental fee for them will be raised from $25 to $40.

Board members approved the fee hike plus a schedule of other fees which will remain the same as last year.

High school fees for 2008-09 will range from $20 for art and various family and consumer education classes to $55 per sport for athletics, for various music offerings, for drama (actors only), for forensics, and for parking permits.

Middle school fees for 2008-09 are $40 per sport for athletic and family and consumer education fees.

Breakfast and lunch prices will continue at $2 for elementary lunch, $2.10 for secondary lunch (grades five to 12) and $1.50 for breakfast.
