Local House candidates file
The Democratic and Republican candidates for House seat 28A have both officially filed with the state.
The Democratic and Republican candidates for House seat 28A have both officially filed with the state.
According to the Secretary of State’s Office, GOP candidate Tim Kelly, Red Wing, filed Tuesday. Incumbent Rep. Sandy Wollschlager, DFL-Cannon Falls, filed July 3. No other candidates from competing political parties have filed or announced intentions to run in the 28A race.
The district includes the cities of Red Wing, Cannon Falls, Lake City, Goodhue and Wabasha.
Filing closes at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Candidates may file through the Secretary of State’s Office or at their local county of residence.
