An omission was made in the transcription of one of Red Wing City Council candidate Clarence Baker’s answers in the June 18 Republican Eagle. A sentence describing Baker’s military service was omitted. The question and Baker’s complete answer follow:

Question: Because of its diverse population and zoning, some say Ward 2 represents a microcosm of Red Wing. What makes you the best candidate to represent Ward 2?

Answer: A lifetime of leadership through both the military and corporate world has helped prepare me for this opportunity. The ability to adapt to constantly changing military operations, gathering information, working with others and successfully completing your mission, without incident, is a tremendous step in preparing for future leadership positions. In the corporate world, I have worked successfully bringing competitors together, establishing unity that has benefited both the competitors and their clients.
