Music series begins
ZUMBROTA — Music in the Park, a series of Tuesday night concerts in East Park, began begin this week with a performance by the Zumbrota Community Band and Community Choir.
ZUMBROTA — Music in the Park, a series of Tuesday night concerts in East Park, began begin this week with a performance by the Zumbrota Community Band and Community Choir.
All concerts are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The weekly feature will run through July, except there will be no performance July 1.
This year’s series is dedicated to the memory of Jane Bowman-Nigon, a local musician who died in an auto accident. She played in several music groups, and had a standing “gig” in Zumbrota’s annual summer series.
The schedule follows:
June 17 — The Polka Dots
June 24 — Sawtooth Bluegrass
July 8 — Rochester Big Band
July 15 — Jack Norton
July 22 — Beguine Bros.
Old-Time Country and Western Review
July 29 — Swing Street
Music in the park is presented by the Zumbrota Area Arts Council, with support from local businesses.
