To the Editor:

In the interest of informing voters, the League of Women Voters Red Wing is sponsoring a “meet and greet” event for Ward 2 candidates from 5 to 7 p.m. June 18 at the Red Wing Public Library Foot Room.

This is a unique opportunity for Ward 2 voters and other interested citizens to meet the candidates who are running for the vacated City Council seat in the July 8 special election. The candidates will be available to answer questions and to visit.

At 6 p.m., each candidate will make a five-minute presentation. We will not take questions from the floor.

There will be ample time after the presentation for citizens to talk with the candidates.
