Season passes available for $50 per person. We also offer discount coupon books and twilight season passes. Remember our specials: Tuesdays are Two for Tuesday with two admissions for one and Friday evenings are “Buck Night?”with all admissions $1 after 4 p.m.
Summer swim lessons
Registration is now being taken for summer swim lessons at Colvill Pool. Classes are held in the mornings. Red Cross progressive lessons are taught for beginners through level six. The lessons begin at 10 or 11 a.m. and run for 45 minutes each. The lessons are held Monday through Fridays for two weeks. Class start dates are July 7 or July 21. Youth ages 40 months and older may take the class. Cost for the 10 lessons is $45.
Infant toddler swim
program
An infant toddler swim program will be held from 11 to 11:45 a.m. June 9-13 at Colvill pool. The class will introduce children to aquatics using songs, games and water toys. The class is designed for youth ages 10-40 months. Cost for the class is $24. Another session will be held Aug. 4-8.
Winger baseball camp
Winger Coach Jim Bohmbach will host the summer baseball camp. The camp will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 9-12 at the RWHS softball field. The camp is for youth currently in grades 2-9. The camp will cover all the fundamentals of the game. Bring your glove, cap and something to drink. Cost of the camp is $50. All participants receive a camp t-shirt.
Diving camp
Red Wing diving coach Carrie Hansen offers two diving camps this summer. The Learn to Dive program will meet from 11 a.m. to noon June 11 through July 30. This entry level class will introduce athletes to diving. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards front crawl, back crawl and tread water for 60 seconds. Cost is $50. The junior diving team is for experienced divers. This program meets from 9 to 11 a.m. beginning June 10 for eight weeks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This program is for divers who have varsity or JV diving experience. Cost is $275. The classes are held at the Twin Bluff pool.
Tom Gillman JV and
varsity tennis camp
Tom Gillman’s JV and varsity tennis camps will run from June 9-12 and then from June 30 through July 24 at the RWHS courts. The JV camp runs from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. and the Varsity camp runs from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Cost for the 20 session camps is $110. Classes meet Monday through Thursday of each week.
Speed and agility camp
Amanda Kingzett of Fairview Red Wing leads the speed and agility program. The class teaches young athletes proper form and works on speed, agility, power and quickness drills. The class will have two sessions daily, 8 to 9 a.m. or 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 10 through Aug. 7. Class size will be limited this year. Cost is $50. The class is for current Middle School and High School youth.
Boys basketball camp
The Winger Boys Basketball camp will be held June 17-20 at the RWHS gym. The clinic is for current boys in grades 2 through 9. The camp for grades 2-5 will run from 10 a.m. to noon and the camp for grades 6-9 will meet from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. Cost for the camp is $50. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt.
Girls basketball camp
The Winger girls basketball camp will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 17 and 18 at the Twin Bluff gym. The camp is for girls in grades 3-6. Cost is $25 and includes a t-shirt. Note: the time, dates and location have changed from earlier information.
Summer gymnastics
The summer gymnastics session begins the week of June 9. Classes are offered by the Red Wing Gymnastics Center for 3-year-olds through their Beginner 2 classes. The session is nine weeks long with no classes the weeks of June 30 and July 28. Classes are held weekday evenings. Call Community Rec for specific class details.
Track and field camp
Join Winger Coach Jesse Nelson for a week of track and field work. The camp will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. June 23-26 at the RWHS track. The camp is for youth currently in grades 2-9. You will work on sprinting, distance running, hurdles, relays and field events. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt. Cost is $40.
Skateboard camp
Get some great instruction from the professional staff of 3rd Lair Skateboard Camp. Cost is $160. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon June 23-27 at the Pottery Pond Skate Park. The camp is open to all ages, including adults. Third Lair has operated a skateboard camp since 1998 and all of their instructors have years of teaching experience. All participants must wear a helmet, other protective gear is recommended. The camp provides a low student/teacher ratio. Bring your skateboard, helmet and something to drink to the camp and work on your boarding skills.
High school football camp
Open to students currently grades 8-11 (2007-08 school year). Join Winger coach Kevin Horvat and his staff for our summer camps. This year there will be two different weeks of camp. The first week will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. June 23-26. The second week will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. July 21-24. Players are encouraged to attend both weeks. Work on fundamentals and learn the Winger systems on offense and defense. The camps are held at the RWHS practice field. Cost for a single week is $50 and for both weeks is $80.
Youth football camp
This camp is for grades 2-7. The camp will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. June 23-26 at the RWHS practice field. All fundamentals of the sport of football will be covered during the four days of camp including passing, receiving, running back, line play, defense and kicking game. Receive top notch coaching from Kevin Horvat and the Winger staff. In the event of inclement weather, Friday will be used for a make-up day. Cost for the camp is $40.
