Mini art fair now part of Fun Fest

CANNON FALLS — A mini art fair has been added to the Thursday Fun Fest, a new event on the first Thursday of May, July, August and September in downtown Cannon Falls. The Fun Fest, which begins this week, is planned as a community get-together.

Mill Street from Fourth Street to the Cannon River Winery will be closed starting at 4 p.m.; activities will run from 6 to 9 p.m.

Local artists and crafters will be on hand. Other features will include chair massages, a Baggo tournament at Mill Street Tavern; May flower baskets by Spring Garden Nursery, and food and beverages by merchants. Family Salon will offer $7 haircuts to benefit the Susan G. Koman three-day Breast Cancer Walk. First Farmers & Merchants National Bank will sponsor an activity booth for children, plus there’ll be horse rides and clowns.
