Driver found dead after vehicle is discovered in Zumbro River
Dean C. Wilson, 78, of rural Hammond, Minn., was found dead in his vehicle at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday north of Hammond, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office said.
Dean C. Wilson, 78, of rural Hammond, Minn., was found dead in his vehicle at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday north of Hammond, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office said. Officers responded to a report of a car lying on its roof in the Zumbro River off County Road 68. Wilson was found inside.
Authorities estimated that the car had gone off the road between 9:30 and 10 a.m. Cause of the accident is under investigation. Zumbro Falls and Elgin fire and ambulance crews assisted at the scene.
