Law Day Poster Contest open to Goodhue County students
All Goodhue County students are invited to submit posters to the Law Day Poster Contest. Entries must reflect the theme “The Role of the Jury in the Judicial System.” Students can submit a one-page explanation stating how the poster fits the theme.
All Goodhue County students are invited to submit posters to the Law Day Poster Contest. Entries must reflect the theme “The Role of the Jury in the Judicial System.” Students can submit a one-page explanation stating how the poster fits the theme.
Posters, which may be decorated with any medium, can be 8 by 11 inches to 22 by 18 inches. The student’s name, school, teacher and class period should be marked on the back.
Local judges, attorneys and court staff will judge posters based on message, visual effectiveness and universal appeal. Winner will receive a $50 Wal-Mart gift certificate and the poster will be displayed in the Goodhue County Law Library for a year.
Entries may be brought or mailed to the Goodhue County Court Administration Office, Justice Center, 454 W. Sixth St., by 4:15 p.m. April 25.
Posters will be on display on the 50th anniversary Law Day on May 1, where events are planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Justice Center.
