Red Wing police called off pursuit Wednesday after a motorcyclist was clocked driving 102 miles per hour on Pioneer Road.

An officer reported the speeding motorcyclist at 10:27 p.m. on Pioneer Road, where speed limits top out at 50 miles per hour. The officer turned on his lights and sirens and pursued the motorcyclist onto County Road 1. The motorcyclist then sped up. The officer ended the chase due to the potential dangers of a high-speed pursuit.
