Farah Ali, 20, and Yussuf Osman, 17, both of Rochester, were ejected from the vehicle when the driver lost control and rolled the van just before 6 a.m. on Highway 52, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities are still trying to determine who was driving the van when it crashed. Authorities said road conditions were icy at the time.
Ali and Osman were not wearing seat belts, authorities said. Both were taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, where they died a short time later.
