Question: With all this talk about mortgage foreclosures, when is Goodhue County’s next tax-forfeited land sale?

Answer: The sale is set for 10 a.m. April 2 in the Goodhue County Government Center board room.

Provided that the current owners don’t take the necessary steps to retain the land, the sale will include parcels in Minneola, Roscoe and Wacouta townships as well as a parcel in Red Wing.

Question: All the construction at the college looks to be ending. When will be get to see the results?

Answer: Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical will hold an open house April 20. A ribbon-cutting is set for 2 p.m.

The $4.8 million remodeling project is designed to upgrade, retrofit and modernize the 35-year-old facility to better serve students, support staff, faculty, programs and the community, President Jim Johnson said.

The Republican Eagle will have more information about the open house as the date approaches.
