Authorities say that man died of self-inflicted gunshot wound
Authorities found the body of a Red Wing man Friday in a truck off Hay Creek Trail in Featherstone Township.
Benjamin Gauger, 23, appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
A sheriff’s deputy found the truck at 10:50 p.m. in a parking lot at the Hay Creek Recreational Area, authorities said. Gauger’s family apparently asked authorities to look for the man.
