Red Wing police will be out to catch speeders
Heightened speed patrols will be conducted by the Red Wing Police Department throughout April. In 2004-06, speed was a contributing factor in one death in Red Wing and 464 deaths statewide.

Last year, the Red Wing Police Department issued 445 speeding citations. In Goodhue County, a speeding ticket for 10 mph over the limit will cost drivers $120.
Local participating law enforcement agencies conducting enhanced speed patrols include Red Wing police, Goodhue County Sheriff’s Department, Prairie Island police and Cannon Falls police.
